Traction monoblocks with tubular positive plates

Maximum autonomy with EDrive Monoblocs

Characteristics

All the monobloc batteries in our range are specially designed to ensure maximum autonomy and cycle lifetime for professional users – even in the toughest conditions. The reliability of these compact power units is phenomenal: up to 1200 cycles at 80% discharge! Moreover, the maintenance requirements and self-discharge of each type of battery are minimal.

The EDrive label that we put on our batteries is your guarantee that the batteries have passed the most stringent quality tests.

Battery life is expressed in cycles

Repeated discharges/charges wear out the plates of a battery. The number of times a battery can be recharged after the capacity has been completely used (80% discharge) is called the number of cycles. A battery is worn out when its capacity is reduced to 80% of the specified value (according to DIN). In some sectors, 60% is the more usual value.

A traction battery typically has a life of 1000-1200 cycles (depending upon the type). A battery can only achieve its anticipated life when it is properly maintained. Please refer to our preventive maintenance conditions.

In practice it is more suitable to use semi-traction batteries for applications with up to three cycles a week.(Except for Trojan, this battery can be used more then 3 times a week.) The production of semi-traction batteries is simpler and therefore less expensive, but still offering good performances and a life of 300-700 cycles.
